Youth Group Kick-Off:  Be sure to come this Wednesday night to hear about the new theme and enjoy some food and games. 

Youth Decoration Day:  Put on your work clothes and come help us repaint he Youth Room so that it reflects this year's them.  This Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10am-4pm.  A pizza lunch will be provided. 

Men's Ministries Kick-Off Breakfast:  Wednesday, September 10 at 6:30am at church.  Come hear about our plans for the coming year, enjoy the fellowship and make new friends in Christ. 

Women's Bible Study Potluck:  Wednesday, September 10 at 9:30am at church. We will be studying a book by Cynthia Heald on the Psalms called Intimacy with God. 

Men's Retreat: Join men from area churches on September 12-14 and learn from speaker Nate Larkin what it means to be a man of integrity. Men's Ministry

Women's Night Out:  Friday, September 12 at 7:30pm.  Women, come for an evening of fellowship and fun around the fire-pit.  We'll play a couple of games, hear a summary of the vision of the Women's Ministry team, east s' mores, and mostly enjoy getting to know each other better. 

Men's Ministries Campfire:  Friday, October 3 at 6:30pm at Sandy Smith's home (2230 W. Whitehall Rd.).  Bring and easy snack to share. Drinks provided. 

Elijah: His name was his message.  Come hear Australian storyteller Simon Camilleri bring to life the amazing tale of this ancient prophet.  Sunday, Sept. 14 at 7:30pm here at church.  Tickets $5 at door.  Children 12 and under are free. www.thebackyardbard.com/elijah.

Working Women’s Life Group: Are you a working woman who is interested in being a part of a Life Group but is unable to attend the women's Wednesday morning Bible Study? If you are interested, please contact Peg Ludovina (814-867-1907). The Life Group will be in the evenings and the exact day, time and place will be determined by the members of the group.

Photo Contest: The deadline for the photo contest has been extended to September 30. We are looking for pictures to display in our church and on our website of our church interacting with the community, through work, hobbies, recreation, service etc. How do you interact with the community? Photographers, help us by capturing these moments and you will receive a prize ($15 gift certificate to iTunes, Panera, Walmart or Starbucks) and have your work displayed. Photos submitted may have been previously taken or taken from now until the end of the contest. There;s no limit on how many photos one person can submit. Fall Women's Conference: "Uncommon Beauty" is the theme for an area wide Fall Women's Conference being planned for October 24-25th, 2008. The speaker will be Cynthia Heald, bestselling author and speaker. The cost will be $20/person and $15/student. To register call the church office at 237-8020 and information will be sent to you.
